Celebrate CSEdWeek with Us!

By Jesse Flot

This year, Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) is December 4-10!

CSEdWeek is the perfect opportunity to introduce K-12 students to computer science. One of the best ways to do so is through the Hour of Code, which includes activities focused on both coding and AI this year. In support of the CSEdWeek, The Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy has contributed two new Hour of Code activities:

carnegie_accelerate.jpg Acceleration City: Gear up for an adventure in Acceleration City, where you can choose from a variety of vehicles, race, collect Minanimals, and explore with your very own Cobot companion. Experience the thrill of programming your Cobot to generate ramps and platforms, enhancing your gameplay and coding skills simultaneously.
carnegie_machine.jpg Machine Vision Simulator: Step into the future with our Machine Vision Simulator. Train an AI model to distinguish between good and defective components on a quality control assembly line. Learn how machine learning algorithms like k-nearest-neighbors work and the importance of training these models.
