Girls Learn to Code Robots ROAR

By Jesse Flot

The Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy was happy to take part in ROAR (ReImagine Opportunities to Achieve & Rise) with the Sarah Heinz House!. ROAR is an all-girls STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) event for middle and high school students.

The event was open to the public, and included breakfast, lunch, and exciting activities at the intersection of technology, science, and creativity. We had a blast working with the students at our workshops to program the LEGO SPIKE Prime robots to move, make sounds, and display emojis!
